One of Buddha’s smart quotes says: “No one outsite ourselves can rule us inwardly. When we come to this we are free.” But he didn’t live in 2020.

2020 is very contradictory year when it comes to freedom. Even if most of us were feeling that with all restrictions our freedom was taken, on the other hand, through completely new and unexpected situations, we could feel that there is a chance for freedom to build and grow. When nothing is certain, everything is possible. In Business & Life.

So there are 3 messages I took from my lessons and that I think are true for business(&)life:

  1. Don’t rush things that you want to last forever. Sometimes we want fast solutions, we want a relationship, we want a job and we want it now. But if something doesn’t feel right now in this moment, how can we tell it will feel right tomorrow? In all this we are ready to make compromises, ignore red flags, and lose time on things that don’t even feel right. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Take time, keep standards, build and invest time in things and people you want to last and enjoy. Respecting yourself often fulfills empty spaces, of where that job, relationship or another partner should be. It’s just that sometimes the best thing to do is wait till everything becomes clear. In business(&)life.
  2. ‘Do’, such a simple word just do, but it’s harder when it’s you. We are always wise when it comes to others, but when it comes to us it’s often challenging. Why? Because all of us are products of our little and secret wisdoms, scars, fears, traumas and doubts. It happens so often that we know what exactly we need to do, but we just don’t act accordingly. We need to decide whether emotions rule us, or we face them. And no it’s not easy to rule them, while they were winning our battles. But it is necessary, if you want to grow. In business(&)life.
  3. Self-discipline. “Nobody tells you why discipline is so important. Discipline is the strongest form of self-love. It’s ignoring current pleasures for bigger rewards to come. It’s loving yourself enough to give yourself everything you’ve ever wanted.” It sure stands for me. Where focus goes energy flows. We are often paralyzed by one area of our life, that takes so much of our stability for growth. In business(&)life invest time to understand what’s bringing you stability and what you are really wishing for. Living drama is a choice, bad job is a choice, disrespect is a choice. So choose wisely what you wish for and let it take you where you want to be.

So I hope that 2021 you focus on things that will grow you and your happiness. Honestly I think that all wisdom of 2020 is still to come. Currently is leaving us with the feeling that we are still free in what we want to be, but what causes our mood swings, is how to be free with broken wings?  Embracing change is one of the hardest things a person can do. We all know that successful people are most adaptable. With the world moving fast, changing “scenarios” and where “Corona-thing” is possible reality, adaptability is becoming crucial.
